Show Commentary
- It's Friday of a full week of Choreography for Anything Goes. Bodies are aching, minds are full, and everything is exhausted. Why does this feel great? Because we all know where this is heading. Do you have your tickets? Public sales begin Sept. 1st.
- The first couple of weeks of rehearsal are officially under our collective belts. With all this dance, we're going to be tightening those belts a notch or two! Next week we have our "dance" week with choreographer Valerie Williams. We'll see how much we've remembered correctly, and how much we have yet to learn.
Tickets are on sale to members right now, and sale to the general public begins September 1st.
- Wonderful tryouts. Lots of talent on stage. Fun songs to sing. Great dialogue to read. Decisions will be made soon, and then we'll announce the cast for this fall musical extravaganza. Anything Goes will open September 30th, but we've got a lot of work to do before then!
- You may have noticed, due to conflicts we have changed the try-out dates for the show to May 25th & 26th. Hope to see LOTS of you there!
- We've set the try-outs for this show as May 25th & 26th in the evening at the Elkader Opera House. This show has LOTS of great music and great dancing. We've already contracted a professional choreographer / dance teacher to help us out. Included in this contract, is one week dance workshop the week of June 21st. This workshop will be available to cast members and other members of the public who want to learn some basic dance. Space will be limited of course. Then we hit it again in August (the week of Aug 23rd) for show specific Choreography. As you can see, we plan to once again open with a Thursday Matinee for this show. Please consider all these dates for your summer if you are interested in taking part in this show. It's sure to be a great time, and as others who have worked with the fantasic Valerie Williams will attest, one of the best weight loss programs around!
