Opera House Players Scholarship

Beginning in 2025, the Opera House Players are proud to offer an annual scholarship to support graduating seniors with a passion for the arts.

Scholarship Details
Deadline: May 1, 2025 by 11:59 PM
Award: $250 (one-time award per recipient)

Eligibility

• Open to graduating high school seniors within a 40-mile radius of Elkader, Iowa.

• Home-schooled students in the same region are also eligible, provided they have met the requirements for high school graduation.

• Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school.

• Priority will be given to students who have participated in fine arts throughout their K–12 education, especially those who have been involved with the Opera House Players.

Application Requirements

• A completed application form.

• A one-page typed essay describing how theatre has impacted your life.

Selection Process
The Opera House Players Board of Directors will review all submissions and select the recipient(s).
