Tryout Information

Tryouts for Children of Eden were handled in two sections. Because of some conflicts with tryout dates, there will be a second adult tryout on Monday June 24th, 6:30pm. Tryout forms will be available at the tryouts. If you want to fill yours out before you get there, the forms are available online at the links below.

Tryouts for the Children's Chorus occurred on June 4, 2002 7pm on the Opera House Stage in Elkader Iowa. We had a great turnout of 35 kids and are contacting those who tried out before announcing the cast. It is possible that one or two of these kids will be moved to the adult chorus depending on the results of the adult tryouts.

The first adult tryouts were held on June 18, 2002 7pm on the Opera House Stage in Elkader Iowa. There were a good number of very talented people there June 18th. Its going to make the cast selection very difficult, but we have limited stage size, and the show calls for a tight knit group so we have to hold our numbers down. I hope the talented people who don't make it in realize the difficulty in choosing the best of the best!
Makeup tryouts will be June 24th, 6:30pm at the Elkader Opera House. While we will try to make sure the front door is open, I suggest that you use the stage door off the parking lot. That one is the preferred entrance for tryouts and cast use since it takes you right onto the stage.
The Adult cast consists of several main characters for each act (there are two different stories being told), as well as the all important Storytellers whose actions, singing, and emotion make the story come alive. This is truly an ensemble cast where each and every player is important.
